Caritas Switzerland in Cambodia (CACH) and Green Lady Cambodia are partnering to host a workshop on Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) for teachers and students in Cambodia. The workshop is contributing to achieve the Blue Schools topic 3 on " Growth and Change" in the current phase IV of Blue Schools project. The workshop organized at Chouk Primary School which located in the Sisophon city of Banteay Meanchey province.
The workshop provides participants with information on the importance of MHM, as well as practical skills on how to manage menstruation in a healthy and hygienic way. It will also cover topics such as the social and economic impacts of poor MHM, and the role of schools in promoting MHM. Additionally, both teachers and children learn and get involved on making the reusable pad for their own use which can save money as well as being environment friendly.
“We are excited to partner with Green Lady Cambodia to host this important workshop,” said Mr Chan, E-Learning Officer at CACH. “Menstruation is a natural process, but it can be a challenge for girls and women in Cambodia, especially those who lack access to safe and hygienic menstrual products and facilities. This workshop helps to break down the silence around menstruation and provides participants with the knowledge and skills they need to manage menstruation in a healthy and dignified way.”
“We are committed to improving MHM for girls and women in Cambodia,” said Votey, Founder of Green Lady Cambodia. “This workshop is a step in the right direction, and we hope that it will help to raise awareness of the importance of MHM and empower girls and women to take control of their menstrual health.”
The workshop materials are available to teachers and students from all over Cambodia on our website. To register, please visit Blue Schools at (https://blueschools-elearning.com/)
